More than ever before, teenagers need guidance about respect, successful habits, and life skills….In other words it is important to teach teens the rules of etiquette.
Teens face challenges that most of us never dreamed about in our day, including: pressure to engage in unsafe sex; availability of stronger and more dangerous drugs than ever; increased violence and bullying; and using the Internet and mobile devices in unsafe and even illicit ways. These issues go beyond the usual teen etiquette issues like using proper manners, treating others with respect, showing enthusiasm instead of a flat affect, dressing appropriately, and knowing how to converse with adults.
